Are you prepared for the Great Tribulation?  Will Christians go through it, or as this secret rapture theory teaches, be taken away from it?  What is the Bible truth?

The Great Tribulation

This is another part of the secret rapture theory, in which people believe that God will take them away before the great tribulation starts. But is this the Bible truth?  What sets them apart from all the true Christians that have died for the faith in the past? Millions upon millions of Christians have given their lives for Christ. Christ also gave His life for us, so to think that God is going to give special measures to us and rapture us away before the end time tribulation is just wishful thinking. What does the Bible, the Word of God say on this matter?

Deuteronomy 4:29-31 .....'But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.  When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.' …… Notice the word 'when', not 'if'.  WHEN His people are in tribulation, God promises that if they obey Him and serve Him with all their heart and soul, then He will be with them, THROUGH tribulation.

Did God take the Israelites away from Egypt during the plagues? No, He protected them THROUGH it.

Matthew 13:20-21 ....'But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.' ..... Again, notice the word 'when.'  WHEN tribulation comes, those who have not firmly rooted their faith in Jesus will not be able to stand through tribulation.  They will be tried and tested and found wanting, and they will fall away.

Matthew 24:21-22 ....'

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.' ….. The Roman Catholic Church controlled the world between 538AD - 1798, in which it is said that at least 50 million Christians were slaughtered by the them. What did God do with these Christians?  Did He take them away from the tribulation and persecution?  No, they were slaughtered. But He gave them strength to endure it. Friend, what makes you think that God allowed these millions of Christians to be slaughtered, and yet think He will rapture you away from the tribulation to come?  It isn't going to happen. The Bible is silent on a 'pre-trib' rapture.  Jesus is warning us that there will be great tribulation.  Why would He warn us if He was going to take us away from it anyway?  You need to be ready for this.  You need to be ready to give your life for your Lord and Saviour.  Remember what Jesus went through for you.

John 16:33 …..'These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.' …. Anyone in this world who wants to follow Jesus will have tribulation.  But do not worry, because Jesus has already overcome this world and we now have the promise of eternal life with Him.  He will give you a peace even through great tribulation if you just trust in Him and give your all to Him.

Acts 14:22 ….'Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.' ….. How do we enter the Kingdom of God? Not just through tribulation, but through MUCH tribulation.

Romans 5:2-3 …..'By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.  And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience.' …… Remember, the world hates Jesus, and therefore it will hate those who follow Him.  If we hold strongly to our faith in Jesus Christ and are persecuted for it, then we can rejoice, because it will refine our faith and we will know that we are doing right for God.  Better to be persecuted for doing good, than for doing evil.  This is the Bible truth.

Romans 8:35-39 …..' Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.' …… Friend, this is the amazing Bible truth of Jesus right there. No matter what satan can does to us, as long as our lives are firmly rooted in Christ Jesus, then no amount of tribulation or persecution will separate us from Him.  He will be with us through everything!

Romans 12:12 …..'Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.'

2 Corinthians 1:4 ….'Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.'

2 Corinthians 7:4 …..'Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.'

1 Thessalonians 3:4 ….'For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.'

2 Thessalonians 1:4 ….'So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure.'

God gives us the truth of His Word so that we can be prepared.  There isn't a single verse that says we will be taken away from the great tribulation to come.  But He will keep us through it.

Revelation 2:10 ….'Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.' ….. Bible truth confirms that we are to be faithful even unto death!

Revelation 7:14 ….'And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.' ….. Really think about this verse. These are the saints in white robes and they 'came out' of great tribulation. Now, to come out of tribulation, they must have been IN IT in the first place. So these are those who have fully given their lives for Jesus and trusted in Him even in the toughest of tribulation and persecution, even unto death! This is the Bible truth.

All that we are and all that we have should be devoted to Christ, even if death is required to show our true love for Him.

1 Peter 4:12 .....'Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.' ..... To hold on to this 'secret rapture' teaching, you would have to ignore many verses that clearly state we WILL go through tribulation and persecution.

Revelation 12:17 ....'And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.' ..... Because satan could not completely destroy all of the saints of God during the reign of the Roman Catholic Church between 538AD - 1798, he became angry and has now gone away to make (prepare) war with the remnant church that is left now.  Who is the remnant church?  Those who keep the Commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. What war is he preparing? The end time great tribulation that the saints (us) will be put through.  Why would satan go away to make war with the saints, if the saints are going to be raptured away? Friend, satan knows the Word of God better than most people on this earth. He knows the saints are going to be right here on earth and NOT raptured away, that is why he is making war with us, to overcome us and try to draw us away from God. This is why it is vital to be firmly rooted in Jesus and in God's truth (The Bible) and not trust in false doctrines that will weaken us and make us open to deceit.

Revelation 13:15 .....'And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.' .... Friend, this is the end time great tribulation that is coming.  Anyone who does not bow down to the beast (the antichrist) will be hunted down to be killed.  Who is the end time beast, the antichrist?  The Papal Church of Rome!

The Great Tribulation is coming.  Please don't put your trust in this false secret rapture teaching, because if you do, then you might find that you are not prepared when the tribulation comes.  Give your all to Jesus now and He will keep your through it.
